Shari Cooper Westrup was born on January 8, 1942 to John E. and Mary Cooper in Houston, Texas. She passed away on February 9, 2008. She was a well-educated lady, wife, mother, grandmother, archaeologist, realtor, and a fun person.
WHAT A WONDERFUL LIFE.
She spent 12 years at St. John’s School in Houston, Texas, and graduated in 1959. Shari then went to Pine Manor College in Boston, where she received a degree. After her children were in school, she decided to go back to school at the University of Houston and got a degree in archeology. She went on numerous digs in Texas, but the 3 most notable were two-month digs at Tell Halif, in Isreal. Shari had a high-fashion shoe store (Shartrues) in Houston but had to close because of repeated flooding. She also worked for Joe Tramonte Realty for approximately 15 years.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Bill; her sons, William III, John, and Patrick and wife, Elizabeth; and their son, Isaac; daughter, Kristen; and her granddaughter, Sarah Waldon.
She is at peace with the universe.
