Linda Ellis
E. R. Johnson Family Mortuary

Linda EllisLinda Ellis, 52, received her reward of eternal rest on Thursday, February 14, 2008 at Mainland Medical Center in Texas City.

Linda was born on November 22, 1955, in Galveston, Texas to Henry William Ellis, Jr. and Dorothy Gillis Ellis. A life long resident of Galveston, she was a1976 graduate of Ball High School. She retired after many years of service to the UTMB Hospital Housekeeping Department. Linda was a member of the St. John Baptist Church. She was a very selfless, generous, loving, kind, and hard working young lady.

She was preceded in death by her father, Henry William Ellis, Jr., and brother, Edward Lee Ellis; grandparents, Edison and Daisy Gillis, and Arlene Brock.
She leaves to cherish memories, her mother, Dorothy Jean Ellis; daughters, Edwina Ellis and Kristle Hollins; brother, Henry Williams Ellis III (Sabrina); a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will begin at 4PM on Friday, February 22nd followed by a wake from 7-8PM at E. R. Johnson Family Mortuary. A service celebrating her life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 23, 2008, at the St. John Baptist Church with Pastor Louis Simpson, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
