Priscilla Robertson

Priscilla Robertson, 76, received her reward eternal rest on Wednesday, February 20, 2008, at UTMB Hospital.
On November 1, 1931, a baby girl was born to the union of Harry and Edna Andrus Batiste in St. Martinsville, LA.
They moved to Galveston where she attended Holy Rosary Catholic School and was a 1949 graduate of Central High School. Priscilla also known as “Prissy” was employed at St. Mary's Hospital for 39 plus years and was a certified nurses assistant. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Harrison J. Batiste; two sons, John “Peter Head” Murray and Timothy Paul Robertson; niece, Priscilla Yvette Thomas, and devoted friend, Ruth Simmons. Priscilla leaves cherished memories with her devoted children; son, Dr. James Lester Murray and wife Cheryl; daughter, Tracy Pearson and husband Terance; grandchildren, Tatum Pearson; Mia, Marcus, Melanie, Marla, Monette, Meisha, Ronald and Michael Murray; a very devoted friend, Franklin Dorsey; sisters, Rose Mae Stovall; Goldie Thomas, and Alma Martin; uncle, Lawrence Batiste; special nieces, Kathrina Martin, and Princella Y. Thomas; foster children, Ronnie and Beverly Gordon, and Elnora Kitchens; special friends, Corine Harris; Edward and Marie Sinegal; Marjorie Hall, Ismael Medina; Joyce Gardner; Anna Curtis; Mary Simpson, and Toni Mallini; a host of nieces nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will begin at 4PM today, February 22nd with a rosary service at 7PM and wake service until 9PM at the chapel of Fields Funeral Service under the directions of E. R. Johnson Family Mortuary. A funeral mass will be held at 9:00a.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2008, at the St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father John Paul Flajole celebrant. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
