Pearland City Council on Monday voted to approve an advanced funding agreement with the State of Texas for the Cullen Parkway Improvement Project.
The city council also voted to authorize a contract for engineering services and appropriating funds for the Cullen Parkway project.
The city council voted to deny a request for a conditional use permit to allow a gaming establishment near FM 518 and Harkey Road.
The city council tabled action on awarding a contract for motor fuel.
The city council voted 4-1, with Steve Saboe opposed, to amend a section of the Electrical Code for the city to regulate use of metallic clad cables in the city's wiring system. The amendment was approved on first reading on an emergency basis.
The city council took no action on an interlocal agreement with the city of Baytown for participation in a sanitary sewer rehabilitation contract.
All other items were approved by unanimous vote.
