Margaret Alice Anderwald passed away, Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at John Sealy Hospital in Galveston, Texas. A funeral mass will be held at 6:00 pm, Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at St. Peter The Apostle Catholic Church, 1804 69th Street in Galveston, Texas.
Margaret was born August 18, 1914, to Lee Bernard Rousset and Margaret Clair Warner Rousset in Galveston, Texas. She married James Francis Anderwald, Sr. and raised her family with a loving hand. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to dance never missing a step. She loved to play Bingo, play cards and to bowl. She was always ready to go and have fun. Her grandchildren meant the world to her and she would roll around on the floor with them to keep them happy. She was a good cook and loved to bake, always having a pie or cake ready to share. To describe her is to say she was a character. She will be missed. She was a devoted Catholic attending Mass every day and was a member of St. Peter The Apostle Church of Galveston.
She is preceeded in death by her parents, brother, two sons and devoted husband James F. Anderwald Sr. She is survived by 2 sons and 2 daughters and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. They are son, Noel Anderwald and wife Arlene of Galveston; beloved grandson, Noel Anderwald, Jr. and wife Sylvia of Galveston; beloved grandaughter, Melissa Chambers of Galveston; beloved great grandchildren, Makailynn Anderwald, Corrine Anderwald, Noel Anderwald, III, Wade Chambers, Tyler Chambers, Brianna Chambers and David Chambers, Jr. all of Galveston.
