Michael Joseph Laine
Malloy & Son Funeral Home

Michael Joseph Laine, 53, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2008, at his residence.

Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, March 5th, at St. Patrick Catholic Church with Father John Paul Flajole, OFM, as Celebrant. 

The family will receive visitors after 5:00 pm, Tuesday, March 4th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home.  A rosary will be held at 6:30 pm.

Michael was born August 29, 1954, in Galveston, Texas.  He graduated from Texas A&M University in 1976 and then served in the U.S. Air Force.  Michael became a teacher and coach, and taught for a time at Galveston Catholic School.  At the time of his death, he worked in security for CSC Security.  Michael was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Houston, as well as the Knights of Columbus #7901 in Houston.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Charles L. Laine, Jr.

Michael is survived by his mother, Carol Laine; brothers: Charles L. Laine, III, and wife, Lois; Mark Laine and wife, Teri; John Laine and wife, Carmen; Brian Laine and Thomas Laine; nieces: Tina Ubersax, Stacy Laine, Katherine Laine, and Courtney Laine; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, P. O. Box 78960, Phoenix, AZ 85062-8960.
