Daniel Moore
E. R. Johnson Family Mortuary
Daniel Moore, 63, departed this life on Tuesday, February 26, 2008, at Mainland Medical Center.
Daniel was born March 4, 1944. He was the youngest of eleven children born to the union of the late Oscar, Sr. and Mary Irving Moore. in Palmetto, Louisiana.
Daniel attended school in Palmetto and at the age of twenty, he moved to Detroit, Michigan, where he worked for Ford Motor Company. His next stop was Galveston, Texas, where he settled and made his home. Daniel was later united in marriage to the late Judy Moore. Daniel drove cabs for many years until he became disabled.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, wife, four sisters and six brothers. His memories will be cherished by two godchildren – Natalie Cole Moore and Randy Robles; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will begin at 9AM on Saturday, March 8, 2008, followed by a service celebrating his life at 11:00 A.M. in the chapel of E R Johnson Family Mortuary with Rev. E R Johnson officiating, Burial will follow at Mainland Memorial Cemetery in Hitchcock, TX.
