Goldie Rippetoe

Goldie RippetoeGoldie Rippetoe, 82, of Galveston, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2008, at Edgewater Retirement Community.

Goldie was born January 31, 1926, in Lafayette, LA, to Anaise and Edgar LaViolette.  She retired from Southwestern Bell after more than 30 years of service.

Goldie was preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Roy and Darrell LaViolette.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Laddie E. Rippetoe; her sister, Vivian Ewing and husband, Sonny; sons, Darrell Kelemen and wife, Nancy; Donnie Kelemen and wife, Debbie; and Mike Kelemen and wife, Cora; as well as several loving grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Goldie’s family will receive visitors from 5:00 until 7:00 pm, Friday, March 7th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be 10:00 am, Saturday, March 8th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home with burial to follow at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock.

Pallbearers will be Goldie’s grandsons and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice Care Team, Inc., 1708 Amburn, Suite C, Texas City, TX 77591.
