John David Stromile
Wynn Funeral Home

John David Stromile passed away on February 21, 2008, at Lakewood Senior Living Center at Herman Park in Houston, Texas.
 
John was born November 6, 1923 to Julianne Johnson and Jessie Stromile in Plain Dealing, Louisiana. 
 
John and his wife, Mary Broom Stromile, were the proprietors of a gas and food mart in Plain Dealing, Louisiana.  In addition, he was a sand hogger and pulp wood trucker.  After moving his family to Galveston, he was employed by Burton Lumber Company, Farmer Marine Iron Works, Haney's Refrigerator Company and UTMB.
 
John was a member of St. John Baptist Church in Galveston.  Reverend Louis Simpson, Jr., is the pastor.
 
John was preceded in death by his mother, Julianne Johnson; father, Jessie Stromile; wife, Mary Broom Stromile; brothers, Jack Stromile and Roy Stromile; daughter, Alison Stromile, and granddaughter, Monica Williams.
 
He is survived by his brother; Doyle Stromile; sisters; Doris Sellers and Gladys Stromile; children; Jimmie Smith, Brenda Bell, Robin Williams, Rosemary Harrison, Donald Stromile, Kenneth Stromile (Sandra), Aldrick Stromile (Chalina) and Patricia Stromile; grandchildren; Sherita Fontenot (Theo); Kevin Jackson, Sr. (Cloris); Calvin Cahee III, Kimberly Bell, Rashan Clark, Alicia Harrison, Leslie Williams, Tiffany Williams, Kenneth Stromile Jr., Brian Stromile, Aldrick Stromile II, Aldrick Stromile III, Claitlynn Ruben, Yulanda Bellard, Anthony Stromile, and Alicia Briggs; great-grandchildren; Kerrie Jackson, Calisa Cahee, Stephen Hooks, Jessika Cahee, Simone Jackson, Chelci Cahee, Kevin Jackson, Jr.; great-great grandchildren; Rushad Ball, Ethan Williams and numerous other relatives and friends. 
 
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 10, 2008 at Wynn Funeral Home.  Reverend Louis Simpson, Jr.,  will officiate.
