Eddie Mae “Big Moma” Frenchwood, 69, passed away Thursday March 6, 2008 at her residence in Galveston, Texas. Funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm, Thursday, March 13, 2008 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home in Galveston with visitation beginning at 2:00 pm. Friends and acquaintances are invited to attend.
Eddie Mae was born September 28, 1938 to Eddie and Anna Lee Smith Williams in Huntsville, Texas. She was a homemaker, raising a granddaughter who Eddie Mae raised as a daughter, Lisa Anders. “Big Moma” was a well known person and highly loved by many. She was full of life, and most of all she was a fighter and survivor.
Preceded in death by her father, grandson, Infinity Glenn, she is survived by her mother, daughters, Vivian Jackson (Mack) and Annette Hill Scurry, both of Galveston; grandchildren, Lisa Anders (Nune) , Anthony Hill (Roshonda), Norma Scurry, Glenda Hill, Victoria Graham (Edward), Herkia Lemelle (Brian), David Robertson, Dasia Robertson and Mack Jackson, Jr. and brother, Charles Williams of Galveston; 9 great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews; devoted friend, Raymond Hennigan (Paw Paw).
