PRAIRIE VIEW --Prairie View A&M University, the second oldest public institution of higher education in Texas, will host its 2008 Gala to celebrate 90 years of nursing education through its College of Nursing, Saturday, April 12 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston.
Proceeds from the Gala will benefit the university’s “Extend the View, Shape Tomorrow Today,” capital campaign. Anchored in a rich history of teaching, research and service, Prairie View A&M University’s celebrated College of Nursing has educated and trained nurse and health care professionals for nearly a century. The College is housed in the Texas Medical Center and was the first program at PVAMU to offer a diploma in 1922 to enrolled students.
