Beverly Jo ChambersBeverly Jo Chambers, age 66, of Galveston passed away, Saturday, March 22, 2008, at her grandaughters residence in Hitchcock, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home of Galveston with Rev. Louis Simpson officiating.

Beverly was born August 11, 1941 in Lane, Louisiana to William Anderson and Lillian Bonner Anderson. She was retired from Texas Home Health after many years of dedicated service. In 1971 she married Anthony “Tony” Chambers and had 34 years of a great marriage. She liked to “do” her nails and hair and was a member of St. John’s Missionary Baptist Church where she was an active member of St. John’s Women’s Mission Club.

Beverly is preceded in death by her grandmother, Mattie Lee Moore, sister, Betty Filer and recently by her husband, Anthony “Tony” Chambers. She is survived by her daughters, Pamela “Pam” Parson  and JoAnn Cade; son, Oliver “Sonny” Parson and wife Yolanda; mother, Lillian Bonner; father, William Anderson; brother, William Anderson, and wife Ann; 7 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; aunt, Frances Allen and daughter (Cousin) Pat Ellis; sisters-in-law, Betty Ann Chambers of San Francisco, California and Charlene Chambers of Galveston; brothers-in-law, Felton Chambers of Galveston and Jerry Chambers of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; a devoted niece, Diana Deyon; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

Pallbearers are Oliver Parson, Larry Butler, Richard Plesant and Bernard Stinson.
