Margaret Mae Kelso Schwalm Margaret Mae Kelso Schwalm age 86 of Conroe, formerly of Galveston, passed away, Friday, April 4, 2008 at her residence in Conroe. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, April 9, 2008, at Trinity Episcopal Church in Galveston with the Reverend Ronald Pouge officiating. Burial will follow at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock, under the direction of Carnes Brothers Funeral Home of Galveston.

Margaret was born January 16, 1922 in Galveston, Texas to James Criss Kelso and Katherine Helmond Kelso. She graduated from Ball High School with the class of 1940. She was an operator and then a manager with the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company retiring in 1977 with more than 24 years of service. She was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, the Pioneer Club, loved to travel, camp, knit, paint and take care of and her family.

Preceded in death by her parents, survivors include sons, Frank Schwalm of Houston, and James K. Schwalm and wife Diane of Texas City; sister, Betty Schroeder of Galveston; grandchildren, Jenna Smith and husband Wayne of League City, Christian Schwalm, and Deborah Liss-Frank and husband Marty all of Houston; great grandchildren, Jessica Liss, Lauren Liss and Stella Frank; nephews, Edward Schroeder and wife Polly and Chris Schroeder and wife Karen; life long beloved friend, Frances Carol Carrillo of Conroe, other relatives and many friends.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, 2216 Ball Galveston, Texas 77550 or Odyssey Hospice,100 I-45 North, Suite 300, Box 103, Conroe, Texas 77301
