Ruth Fitzgerald Darrall
Malloy & Son Funeral Home

Mrs. Ruth Fitzgerald Darrall, age 85, of Roswell, GA, died on Monday, April 7, 2008. 

She was born in Manchester, NH on June 7, 1922.  She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Paul.  She is survived by her three children:  Wayne Darrall, of Louisville, KY; Peggy Higginbotham, of Alpharetta, GA; and Marilyn Sindall, of Silver Spring, Maryland.  She is also survived by 8 grandchildren: Jessica Freelander, Angie Very, Paul Darrall, Kevin Higginbotham, Brian Higginbotham, Chrissy Sindall, Colleen Sindall, and Caileigh Sindall.  Her sisters, Catherine Fitzgerald Cunningham and Ann Fitzgerald Kaiser, both of Galveston, TX also survive her.  She was also blessed with five great grandchildren.


Ruth grew up in Galveston, Texas and moved to Washington, DC to take a government position during World War II.  She met and married her husband during the war.  They lived in Washington, DC and Texas before relocating in her later years to Roswell, GA.  Ruth was very devoted to her family and those who knew her will always remember her sharp mind, keen wit, and generosity to others.


Funeral services will be 10:00 am, Saturday, April 12, 2008, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, with Father John Paul Flajole, OFM, as Celebrant.  Burial will follow the service at Mt. Olivet Catholic Cemetery in Dickinson.


The family will receive visitors beginning at 7:00 pm, Friday, April 11th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home.  A rosary will be held at 8:00 pm, led by Deacon Robert Standridge.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Lung Association, 230 North Loop West, Suite 250, Houston, TX 77018.
