Pearland City Council on Monday voted to authorize the city manager to enter into an interlocal agreement with Brazoria County for the Cullen Parkway Expansion Project.

The city council voted to approve naming the future nature center at the John Hargrove Environmental Complex the Delores Fenwick Nature Center.

The city council voted to authorize the city manager to enter into an interlocal agreement with the City of Friendswood for disposal of household waste.

The city council approved the first and only reading of an ordinance for a conditional use permit for property near the future extension of Riverstone Ranch Drive and Sugarbush Ridge Lane to allow a public elementary school. The request was made by Bay Architects at the request of the Pasadena School District.

The city council passed to a future agenda a request for a conditional use permit to allow for a "gaming establishment" at property located near Highway 35 and Hastings Cannon Road.

The city council tabled action on an item regarding CenterPoint Energy's proposed gas rate increase.

The city council voted to change the compensation package for the city attorney as discussed during an executive session held on the issue.

The city council took no action regarding economic development incentives. Discussion of the item was held during executive session.

All other items were approved. Council members Felicia Kyle and Kevin Cole were absent during portions of the meeting.
