BONNEN TO DEDICATE FM 2004 AS JASON OLIFF MEMORIAL HIGHWAY

Who, What, When, Where

  • State Representative Dennis Bonnen, Brazoria County Sheriff Charles Wagner, and the Texas Department of Transportation
  • Will unveil the sign designating FM 2004 in Brazoria County as the Jason Oliff Memorial Highway
  • 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 26, 2008
  • FM 2004 at FM 523, south of Angleton.  Parking is available in the park-and-ride lot in the northeast corner of the intersection.  Use the signalized intersection to walk south on FM 2004 where the covered sign is located.

Brazoria County Sheriff Deputy Jason Oliff was killed on December 5, 2005, while performing traffic control duties on FM 2004 in front of the Innovene Plant.  The 80th Legislature passed House Bill 53 designating FM 2004 in Brazoria County as the Jason Oliff Memorial Highway.

“I was honored to carry legislation to designate part of FM 2004 as the Jason Oliff Memorial Highway” said Bonnen.  “Deputy Oliff was a fine example of those who serve in law enforcement and his untimely death was a tragic loss for our county."
