Brazoria County Sheriff Deputy Jason Oliff was killed on December 5, 2005, while performing traffic control duties on FM 2004 in front of the Innovene Plant. The 80th Legislature passed House Bill 53 designating FM 2004 in Brazoria County as the Jason Oliff Memorial Highway.
“I was honored to carry legislation to designate part of FM 2004 as the Jason Oliff Memorial Highway” said Bonnen. “Deputy Oliff was a fine example of those who serve in law enforcement and his untimely death was a tragic loss for our county."
