Cloateel “Lady” Williams, 87, received her reward of eternal rest on Monday, April 21, 2008, at her residence in Texas City.
On September 23, 1920, in Karnack, Texas a daughter was born to Alonza and Valree Hynson, whom they named Cloateel. “Lady” as she was fondly called by family and friends, was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She attended McKinney Memorial United Methodist Church, where she served in the United Methodist Women Circle #3.
Cloateel was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Rev. Eddie Hynson; sisters, Vernetta Grissom, Cuett Hynson, and Etwill Woods.
She leaves with precious memories of her life, devoted husband, Alfred W. Williams, Jr.; devoted sons, Lionel Williams (Carol), and Marvin Williams (Lorraine); devoted daughters, Verma J. Perry (Henry, Jr.), and Doris J. Turner (David); grandchildren, Marcus Williams, Marvin Williams, Jr., LaMar Williams, Sr., Brian Williams, David Turner, Jr., Derrick Turner, Tanya Perry, Kristina Perry, and Henry Perry III (Carla); numerous great grandchildren; brother, Alonza Hynson; sisters, Mable Williams, Clemmie Shelton; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will begin at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, April 26, 2008, at McKinney Memorial United Methodist Church in LaMarque, followed by a service celebrating her life at 12:00 P.M. with Reverend Dr. Janice Gilbert officiating. She will be laid to rest in Grace Memorial Park in Hitchcock. Texas.
