Carolyn Penelope Galvan Stanton, 40, of Galveston, passed away Thursday evening at home. Services will be held at 7:00 pm, Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home, 1201 Tremont, Galveston, Texas. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm until service time.
Carolyn was born July 17, 1967 to Ernest and Apolonia Marron Galvan in Galveston, Texas. Carolyn attended Galveston’s Ball High School. She enjoyed spending time with her family, camping, traveling, reading, cooking for her family and others, enjoying life, and being a devoted mother and grandmother. Carolyn will be remembered by many for her generosity and her willingness to help others.
Preceded in death by her father, Carolyn is survived by her mother Paula Galvan, her devoted companion Juan Villalobos, her daughters Kimberly Stanton, Candace Slaydon and husband Ronald, and their two sons Ronald Jr. and Noah. She is also survived by her sisters Virginia Morales and husband Panama, Priscilla Boothby and husband Joseph, Cathy Rice, and brother Timothy Galvan and wife Kimberly, nieces and nephews Michael, Eddie, and, Andrea Morales. Tiphani and Timothy Galvan II., Bianca Boothby, Mark Salinas Jr, Alicea and Christopher Rice and close family friend Paula Webber-McNatt. Carolyn is loved and will be missed by many other family and friends.
Memorials may be made in Carolyn’s name to the Carolyn Galvan Stanton Memorial Fund in care of Priscilla Boothby at any Moody Bank Location.
