Louis J. Camel “Pops”
E. R. Johnson Family Mortuary

Louis J. Camel “Pops”Louis J. Camel “Pops”, 88, departed from this life on Saturday, April 27, 2008, at UTMB Hospital.   “Pops” as he was lovingly known by family and friends was born March 3, 1920, in Louisiana.  Louis served in the Marine Corp, and was a long time resident of Galveston.

Louis was preceded in death by his parents, and stepdaughter, Susie Mae Williams.

He leaves to cherish the memories of his life, his life long partner and love of his life, Susie Mae Ward; stepsons, Dave Ward, James Ward; grandchildren, Tisha Ward, Shandell Williams, Demetra Williams, Shanta Williams, Felicia Ward, Jameka Ward; 3 great grandchildren; devoted friends, Tony and Suzette of Gulf Health Care; a host of other friends and family. Louis will be sadly missed by many.
