Visitors to Galveston for the first day of the Galveston Historical Foundation's Historic Homes Tour were greeted by perfect weather.

Gay Paratore, the Galveston-born artist who won the competition held by GHF to find a new Homes Tour artist upon the retirement of artist Pam Heidt, was signing copies of the poster at the McLemore House, 1019 16th Street.  Listen: RealPlayer  MP3

Paratore will be back at the McLemore House next Saturday from 12 noon until 4.

The Historic Homes Tour will continue on Sunday and will continue next weekend, May 10 and 11.
