Franklin Delano Mosley

Franklin Delano MosleyFranklin Delano Mosley, 74, departed this life on Monday, May 5, 2008 at Hermann Hospital Southeast in Houston, TX from a brief illness.
 
Viewing will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, May 12, 2008, at  Shiloh A.M.E. Church, 1310 29th Street, Galveston, TX, funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. also at the church with Pastor Eric Billips officiating. Burial will follow at the Houston National Cemetery.

Franklin was born to the late Dewey and Viola Brown Mosley on January 13, 1934, in Galveston, TX.  He was a graduate of Central High School and went on to served in the U. S. Navy.  He was employed with Galveston School District, as a Crossing Guard for 16 years until 2000, U. S. Public Health Hospital, Contract worker of U. S. Postal Services, and also worked as a carrier for Galveston Daily News.  In his early years he was employed with Melody Record Shop and John Sealy Hospital.  Franklin, had a special love for his children, grandchildren and his family known as “Bo” or “Uncle Bo” for his great sense of humor.

He was preceded in death by is parents, wife, Larue Mosley; sister, Eldora Mosley Mitchell.

Left to cherish memories are his daughters Carolyn Mosley and Judith Tillmon (Warren Jr.) both of Texas City, Texas; sons, David Mosley (Michelle) of San Antonio, TX; Anthony Mosley (wife) of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Tiffany Scott (Alvin), Texas City, TX Ethan Jones, Houston, TX; Monica Tillmon, Texas City, TX; Ashia, Tiana & Mikayla Mosley, San Antonio, TX; one great grandchild, Angelia B. Scott;  brothers and sisters, J. D. Mosley (Jeanette) of Raine, LA; A. D. Mosley (Geneva) of Galveston, TX; Lionel Mosley (Frankie) of Marina, CA; Annie Mc Beth, Arthur Mosley (Geneve), Betty Thomas, Bertha Allen (Nathaniel) Flora Thomas all of Galveston, TX; and a host of nieces & nephews other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Larnell Mitchell, Jr., David Mc Beth, Ronald Banks, Elmo Mosley, Mario Watkins, and James Thomas
