"This is Memorial Day," Weber said.  "The day each year that we as a free American people stop, take a few moments from our busy lives to remember, to reflect and to honor in memory the true heroes of our nation, the men and women that have given their all."

"Thirty years in the Navy," Winchester said.  "I joined in Galveston and 30 years later, I retired back in Galveston."

Grady Harrison, president of the Cavalla Historical Foundation was the Master of Ceremonies.
