Lorraine Temple SmithLorraine Temple Smith was born May 6, 1934 and crossed over to be with our Lord on Friday, May 30, 2008. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 7, 2008, 11:00 AM at Spiritual True Church, 2915 Avenue M 1⁄2, Galveston, Texas with burial to follow at Barbours Cemetery in Hitchcock, Texas. Visitation will be held Friday, June 6, 2008, from 4pm to 7pm followed by a wake service from 7pm to 8pm at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home of Galveston, Texas.

Lorraine was a 1952 graduate of Central High School, worked as the first female letter carrier at the US Post Office, retired from UTMB as a nurse after 20 years of service and was a faithful member of Spiritual True Church.

She leaves to cherish her memories her daughters, Sharon Denise Rideaux of LaMarque, Thyra Burks of Houston, Lucy Smith Taylor of Galveston, Debra Peterson of Austin, Texas; sons, Donald and John Smith of Galveston, and Antonio Smith, Sr., of Waxahachie, Texas.
