Leo Glen Davis, Jr.
Hayes Funeral Home

Leo Glen Davis, Jr.Mr. Leo Glen Davis, Jr. passed from this life Tuesday, June 17, 2008, in Texas City.

Born July 11, 1926 in Angleton, TX, Mr. Davis had been a resident of Hitchcock for 53 years, previously of Ft. Worth and Angleton.  He had been employed as an Aeronautical Engineer with NASA where he retired in 1984 after 20 years of service, had served in the US Air Force during WWII, and was of the Baptist faith.  He was a member of the John Mitchell Masonic Lodge #1401 A. F. and A. M., a graduate of Angleton High School and the University of Texas A & M and enjoyed spending time fishing, hunting and bowling.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo Glen and Lela Mae (Pittman) Davis, Sr.; sisters, Lela M. Sandberg and Beaulah Davis.

Survivors include his loving wife of over 58 years, Evelyn B. Davis; son, Leo Glen Davis, III and wife, Cathy of Clear Lake; daughters, Donna Macrini and husband, John E. of Hitchcock; Denise Irish and husband, Sherman of Pearland; Diane Snider and husband, Bruce of Dickinson; 17 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Ida Louise Goff and husband, Dr. Marvin of Angleton.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 20, 2008, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Mr. Carl Durham officiating.

Entombment will follow at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum.

Casketbearers will be his grandsons.

Visitation will be from 5 - 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock (409) 925-3501.

Those who wish may make memorials in the form of donations to the Alzheimer's Association, 2242 W. Holcombe Blvd., Houston, TX 77030-2008.
