Raymond Daniel Hart, Jr.

Raymond Daniel Hart, Jr., 72, of Galveston, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2008, at UTMB Hospital. 

He attended Kirwin High School and retired from the Santa Fe Railroad in 1998 after 48 years of service as the Galveston Santa Fe Lift Bridge operator.  Ray was a lifetime resident of Galveston and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

He is survived by his daughters: Danette Davis and husband, Bill, of Galveston; Lanette Hart Bell and husband, Patrick, of Hitchcock; Michelle Hart Galvez and husband, Michael, of Austin; and Cynthia Schronk, of Alvin; 7 grandchildren; and 2 great granddaughters.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1302 Broadway, Galveston, TX 77550.
