Pearlie was preceded in death by her daughter Carol Ann Phillips-Johnson; her parents, Eliza and Maximillian Quilla Sr.; her sisters, Ella Lee Morris, Katie Quilla and her brothers, Roger Quilla and Maximillian Quilla Jr., and a niece Christina L. Scurry.

Phillips (Cynthia) LaMarque, Texas; her sisters, Rose Gates, Maymie Kimble, Idesta Lawrence (Leon), Geneva Scurry, all of Galveston and Mary Johnson of San Francisco, California.  Pearlie was extremely proud of her five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren as well as her many nieces and nephews.
Pearlie will be missed by her family and friends, as well as her, St. Luke's Full Gospel Church family in Galveston, her nursing attendant, Dorothy Simmons, and very special family friends, Esse and Mary Sandles of Texas City.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff of Mainland Center Hospital and UTMB for their care and attention to our mother, sister, grandparent and friend.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Wynn Funeral Home on Sunday, June 29, 2008, followed by a wake from 6:00-7:00 p.m.
