Demetrios “Chili” Chionsini passed on to join Dorothy, his loving wife, on June 14, 2008. He was a beloved father to James P. Morris and wife, Josephine; beloved grandfather to Todd D. Morris and James P. Morris, II, and wife, Sheila; beloved great grandfather to James P. Morris, III, and Adrianna Marie Morris; faithful companion to his dog, Mickey; and true friend to many. Chili will most certainly be missed.
Born on May 21, 1922, Chili always had a twinkle in his eye and a smile on his face. He had many careers in his lifetime, including teacher, hardware store owner, caterer, and lately, sandcastle original artist. Always willing and eager to help someone in need, he will be truly missed, yet never forgotten.
A celebration of his life will be held at 5:30 pm, Saturday, June 28th, at Star Drugstore, 510 23rd Street in Galveston.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Shriner’s Burn Institute, 815 Market Street, Galveston, TX 77550.
