photos by LyndaGuidryMy interview is with Fashion and Special Events Producer Lenny Matuszewski of Len Matuszewski Productions. Listen

Lenny is MORE than a triple threat in the fashion industry!!  He is a Fashion and Special Events Producer, an “on air” personality, a Fashion and Costume Designer, and has a Video and Commercial Production company.

Lenny is well known in the Bay Area for producing the NASA Go Texan Fashion Show, and the Lunar Rendezvous Fashion Show.

Lenny has a fascinating and very creative background.  Lenny started his modeling career as a lark in a local fashion show at the Woodlands Country Club.  He was then an international model for 8 years and traveled to the major fashion capitols of the world doing runway shows for Giorgio Armani, Versace and Missoni.

While Lenny was a model, he began to work as a Fashion Stylist for Brad O’Neil, a nationally known fashion event producer.  He produced his first fashion show in 1988.  As a Fashion and Special Events Producer, he travels throughout the Houston area, Texas, and other major cities of the United States producing charity benefits and fashion shows.

Lenny is an “on air” personality and fashion trend expert for a variety of TV shows, and has appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show.  He has also appeared regularly on the Debra Duncan TV show interpreting the European and New York collections for the Houston market.

In 1990, Lenny created an advanced runway workshop designed to prepare new talent for the runways.  In 1996, he became a Fashion and Costume Designer and designs for the Fantasy Gala Fashion Show, the San Luis Mardi Gras Ball, the Lunar Rendezvous, and D.I.F.F.A.  In 1997, he began his Video and Commercial Production company, where he creates, designs, styles, and edits fashion videos and television commercials.  Now, the unbelievable part is that Lenny has been a Flight Attendant for Continental Airlines for over 20 years in addition to every thing else.

Lenny feels that his greatest accomplishment is helping others feel good about themselves, and encouraging them to accomplish their dreams.  His talent, creativity, and enthusiasm for life makes him a very special person to interview, and his kindness and belief in helping others makes him a special friend.  I have had the opportunity to work with Lenny for the last four years as a model for the NASA Go Texan Fashion Show Extravaganza, and modeling for Lenny is one of the highlights of my life.
