Julian was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cecil and Gladys Parson Sr., and his brothers, Lawrence and Richard Otems.  Left with cherished memories are his very loving parents, mother, Norma Jean Otems; father, Lester Johnican; children, Julia D. Otems and Julian D. Otems Jr; devoted friend, Tryshatel McCardell; sisters, Sandra Otems; Sonia Johnican and Sofia Johnican; brothers, Kenneth Otems and Troy Otems; loving aunt, Charlene Jackson; special cousins, Bonnie Parson and James Dotson; faithful friends, Darian and Nicole Beafneaux along with a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

 

Visitation will be held from 4-7:00 p.m. at Wynn Funeral Home, followed by a wake from 7-8:00 pm., also at the funeral home, on Friday, July 11, 2008.

 

The Homegoing service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2008, at St. John Baptist Church, 2917 Sealy in Galveston.  Reverend Louis Simpson will officiate.

 

Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Galveston.
