Stella Bell

Stella BellStella Bell, 77, received her reward of eternal rest on Saturday, July 5, 2008, at UTMB.

Stella was born on August 14, 1930, in Bunkie, LA to Remus and Dollie Texada.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Sam Bell; son, Leroy Wafer; one brother and one sister.

Precious memories will be cherished by her children, Kathleen Pace; Patricia Wafer; Sye McCowen; Dorothy Bell; Joyce (John Henry), and Floretta (Leroy); her devoted brother who never left her side, Rogers Texada; sister, Lucy Redwine; 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; son in law, Manuel Crawford; a host of other relatives and friends.

Stella will be missed by many and will never be forgotten be those who loved her. Stella cherished all her grand and great grandchildren.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2008, followed by funeral service at 11: 00 a.m. at the St. John Baptist Church, Rev. Louis Simpson, host pastor and Rev. Dexter Henderson officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
