Lawrence "Larry" PuccettiLawrence ‘Larry’ Puccetti, 60, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2008, at his residence.

Larry was born in Galveston on April 24, 1948.  He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1970.  After returning home from the Navy, Larry worked as a longshoreman and finished his career as a steamship clerk & checker for ILA Local 1665, where he worked until his retirement.  Larry was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors with his family.  He was a loving father, grandfather, and son.

Larry was preceded in death by his father, Raymond ‘Sonny’ Puccetti; and sister, Theresa Estella Puccetti.

He is survived by his wife, Annette Puccetti; sons, Michael Puccetti; and Ronnie Puccetti and wife, Erika; mother, Marie Puccetti; brothers, Jimmy Puccetti and wife, Dianna; Jerry Puccetti and wife, Mary; and Raymond Puccetti and wife, Michele; grandchildren: Devin Puccetti, Alexis Puccetti, and Dylan Puccetti; sister-in-law, Barbara Pistone and husband, Vincent; and numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Larry’s family will receive friends after 5:00 pm, Sunday, July 20th, at Malloy & Son Funeral Home.  A rosary will be held at 6:30, led by Deacon John Pistone.

Funeral Mass will be 10:00 am, Monday, July 21st, at St. Mary’s Cathedral Basilica with Father Tom Ponzini as Celebrant.  Burial will follow the service at Galveston Memorial Park in Hitchcock.

Pallbearers will be nephews: James Puccetti, William Puccetti, Benjamin Puccetti, Gerald Puccetti, Jr., Greg Gaona; and cousin, David Voelkel.

Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Pistone, Daniel Pistone, Aileen Pistone, Gerald Marullo, and Theresa Puccetti.
