John Joseph Covini, Jr.
J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home
John Joseph Covini, Jr., age 68, died suddenly at his residence Wednesday, July 23, 2008. He was born November 8, 1939 in Galveston, Texas. He worked for American Printing Company for many years and went to work at the Galveston Yacht Basin and after many years retired from there. He was an avid outdoorsman. His passions were hunting and fishing.
He is preceded in death by his father John Joseph Covini and mother Bernice Covini.
He is survived by a son John Joseph Covini, III; daughter Yvonne Tate and husband Bart; sisters Betty Jo Prendergast and husband Pat, Cindy Collier and husband Virle and Debbie Kelemen and husband Donnie; grandchildren John Joseph Covini, IV, Lauren Tate and Emily Tate; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home, with Father Bill Bartniski officiating. Interment will follow at Galveston Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Donnie Kelemen, Virle Collier, John Covini, III, Bart Tate, Tommy Herryman and Joe Broussard.
Memorials may be made to charity of one’s choice.
