Robert “Bert” Wilson

Robert “Bert” Wilson, age 44, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2008 in Galveston. He was born on July 9, 1964 in Austin, Texas. He was a member of Galveston Bible Church where he played the drums and was on the church softball team. He was on the board and a coach of Island Little League for many years. He was also a member of W.E. Road Racing Association where he followed his passion for motorsports. Robert was employed with Texas Gas Service.
He is survived by his wife Elizabeth Wilson; daughters Lindsay Wilson and Lauren Williams; sons Camden Wilson, Kip Wilson and Spencer Wilson; parents Dale (Pop) Jordan and Bettie Lou Jordan; sister Jennifer Jordan and brother Mike Duffy.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2008 at Galveston Bible Church, 424 19
Street, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. A memorial service will begin at 6:30 P.M., with Pastor Clay Thomas officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Galveston Bible Church, 424 19
Street, Galveston, Texas 77550.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Texas Gas Service, who they consider their extended family. Their kindness and compassion during this difficult time has been immeasurable.
