He is survived by his wife: Roxanna K. Gipson; children: Carrie, Jamie, and Angie Gipson and their mother, Georgie H. Sage; sister: Wanda Howard and husband, Bobby; brothers:  Doyce Richardson and wife, Beverly, and Sam Gipson and wife, Leda; and his beloved nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers and gifts, please send donations in memory of Ron to the American Cancer Society, Galveston Island Humane Society, or the Hospice Foundation of America.

Ron was a special son of Galveston, who sailed the seas, centered the football, and whose humor was as broad as his smile. In lieu of wailing, moaning, and gnashing of teeth, a private celebration of Ron’s life will be held for family and close friends.  For more information please call: 409-692-5525.
