Linda Faye Duhon, 65, of Houston, Texas died Monday, August 11, 2008, at St. John’s Hospital in Nassau Bay, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 9:00 A.M. Thursday, August 14, 2008 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Galveston with the Father Naile Nolan officiating. The family will receive visitors at Carnes Brothers Funeral Home of Galveston from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Wednesday, August 13, 2008 with a rosary and vigil to be held at 6:00 pm.
Linda was born December 26, 1942 in Galveston, Texas to Clarence J. Duhon and Bessie Duplantis Duhon. She was proud to be a B. O. I. and would let everyone know it. She graduated from Dominican High School in 1960. She lived for her family and loved good seafood gumbo. Linda retired from the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers after 32 years of dedicated service as a telecommunications specialist. She was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Preceded in death by her parents, Linda is survived by her brother, Ronnie Duhon and wife, Trudy of Houston; niece, Heather, Duhon of League City; nephew, Christopher Duhon of Allen, Texas; great niece, Christine Graf of League City and great nephew, Dwayne Brown, Jr. of League City; numerous other relatives and many friends.
Pallbearers are Whitney Pennock, Christopher Duhon, Heather Duhon, Jessie Sandstrum, Jr., Jessie Sandstrum, III and Diane Kovacevich. Honorary pallbearer is Len Pennock.
