M.T. Bryant, Jr.M.T. Bryant, Jr., 59 departed this life on Friday, August 8, 2008, at his residence.

M.T. was born on September 21, 1948, in Galveston, to Victoria and M. T. Bryant, Sr.. He attended public school in Galveston and was a graduate of Central High School. He was employed with Demack Produce and Hills Fish market for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson Javien Wright; son, Kerry Turner; brothers, Tommy, Don, Daryl, Earl, and Kenneth; and sister, Bernice.

He leaves to cherish memories a devoted wife, Dorothy Bryant; daughters, Pamela Wright (Malcolm), Neta Simpson (Melvin); Fannie Cotton (Herbert); Deborah Turner (Mark), and Deidra Luke; sons, Bruce Taylor; Roberson, Carl, and Michael Turner; brothers, Roy Frenchwood; Carl Galloway (Rene), and Alfred Payton (Roslyn); sisters, Jean Evans, Rita Woodard; Beverly Bryant (Neville); Helen Pines (Alfred); Gertrude Johnson (James), and Gwendolyn Farbs; aunt, Susie Mae Ward; brother in law, Robert Turner (Verge); special cousin, Shirley Julian; devoted friends, Tommy Dawson (Ada); Hubert Turner (Valerie); Ethel Walker (Houston), and Farard Abdul (Zoey); host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Viewing will begin at 4PM on Friday, August 15th, followed by a wake from 7-8PM at E. R. Johnson Family Mortuary. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2008, at the West Point Baptist Church with Pastor Kerry W. Tillmon officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
