Safety Institute offers OSHA general industry class

TEXAS CITY - The Gulf Coast Safety Institute at College of the Mainland will hold a four-day OSHA general industry safety training class Sept 8 – 11. Topics include introduction to OSHA, general duty clause, inspection citations, penalties, fire protection, electrical hazards, hazardous materials, personal protective equipment, machine guarding, health, safety and other topics. The class meets from 8 a.m., to 5 p.m., at the Safety Institute’s new location at the COM CAST Center on Delaney Road in La Marque.
