Lowell Dean Growcock
J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home

Lowell was born June 21, 1935 and peacefully passed-away in his sleep August 29, 2008, in Texas City at the age of 73. Lowell  grew up in Valley, Nebraska.

He is survived by his children Dean, DeAnn, Dan & Dale and their  spouses Ginsy, Doug & Ginger; grandchildren Amanda, Earl, Joel, Chad  Shelby; his beloved friend Ann King, her daughter Rachel and  grandchildren Haleigh, Jamie and Shane; and former wife, Maureen Vail.

He was preceded in death by his parents Earl C. & Emma Growcock,  brother Harlan, son Dane, daughter-in-law Alicia, granddaughter  Michelle & great-granddaughter, Serenity.

Lowell will be remembered by his family and friends as a  passionate chef, whose greatest joy was sharing his tasty creations.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 6, 2008, 3:00 pm at J. Levy & Termini Funeral Home located at 2128 Broadway,  Galveston, Texas, with Deacon Robert Standridge officiating.

Because Lowell’s favorite television program was America’s Test Kitchen, in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS)
