Donald L. Collins, Jr.
Carnes Brothers Funeral Home
Donald L. Collins, Jr. 67, a 35 year executive with the Houston Sports Association and the Houston Astros Baseball Club, died peacefully September 6, 2008, at his home in Sea Isle, Galveston , TX after a battle with bladder cancer.
Born September 12, 1940 to and preceded in death by his parents Donald Leo Collins and Mildred Sanders Collins. Survived by his sons, Stephen Collins, Michael Collins and their mother, Judith Ann Collins; Stephen’s children Zane and Ellissa; Michael’s wife Donna; brother Gerald Collins and wife Sandra, their daughter Kimberly; and sister Florence Marie Hodges.
The family would like to thank the medical and nursing staff at UTMB, Vosswood Nursing and Amed Hospice for their care and support during Don’s illness.
