Customers Without Significant Damage Can Now Request Immediate Gas Service 

New information about gas service is now available for Galveston residents. 

  • If your gas meter was submerged by floodwaters, you must contact a licensed plumber to inspect your gas line for damage before service can be restored.
  • If your gas meter was not submerged by floodwaters, please contact Texas Gas Service directly to have your gas service restored. 

To have service restored call: 1.800.700.2443
If you smell gas leave, then call: 1.800.959.LEAK (5325)

Texas Gas Service crews are working to pressurize lines throughout the island.
