Mrs. Lizzie Freda Howell passed from this life Friday, September 26, 2008, in Texas City.
Born April 12, 1920 in Columbus, TX, Mrs. Howell had been a resident of Santa Fe since 1976, previously of Liverpool, TX. A homemaker and member of Arcadia First Baptist Church, she enjoyed dancing, playing bingo, doing beadwork and feeding birds.
Preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Walter Carl Howell and daughter, Nelda Jean Smith, she is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Bessie Mae and Bill Parker of OK, Edna Charanza of Tomball, Margaret and Chuck Patterson of Santa Fe; sister, Tillie Black of Angleton; 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 30, 2008, in the chapel of Hayes Funeral Home with Dr. Rick Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Hayes Grace Memorial Park.
Casketbearers will be Buster Free, David Free, Ronnie Free, Chuck Patterson, Kevin Patterson and Daniel Wilhoite.
