Estella Guajardo Ybarra Esqueda, 86, devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt went home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ, on Thursday, September 25, 2008 in Santa Fe, Texas.
Estella’s family will receive visitors from 5:00 until 7:30 pm, Sunday, September 28th, at Hayes Funeral Home in Santa Fe.
Funeral service will be 10:00 am, Monday, September 29th, at Hayes Funeral Home with burial to follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Galveston.
Ms. Estella was born in Cuero, Texas on February 6, 1922 lived in Saspamco, Texas but moved to Galveston, Texas, where she lived for the past sixty years. She worked all her life to make ends meet and succeeded with a job well done. She cherished the moments of family gatherings and birthdays, she was always there and you could depend on her at all times. She loved all her grandchildren and relatives.
Ms. Estella is preceded in death by her father, Thomas Guajardo; mother, Mary Rodriguez; sister, Aurora Garcia; first husband, Henry Ybarra, Sr.; and her loving son, Jesse Garza Jr.; and grandson, Eddie Sustaita.
Ms. Estella is survived by one sister, Isabel Sauceda of Lubbock, Texas; her daughter, Priscilla Sustaita and husband, David; grandchildren: Adren and wife Julie; great-grandchildren Meagan, Kelly, and David; Loreen and great-granddaughter Shelby; Danny and great-granddaughter Ava; Theresa and husband Mike Cassola, great-granddaughters Loresa and Stephanie; sons; Henry Ybarra Jr., and grandchildren Alex Ybarra and wife Teri and great-great grandchildren Joshua and Ricky; Debbie Ybarra and Sandi Ybarra and great-granddaughter Kirsty; Fernando Ybarra; Daniel Ybarra and grandsons Daniel and David Ybarra; and Genero Ybarra and Antonio and Christopher Esqueda; and numerous nieces and nephews and relatives with much love and memories Estella leaves in our hearts.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to Lupe Chavez Hospice nurse for her gentle attendance and care.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Ybarra, Genero Ybarra, Adren Sustaita, Alex Ybarra, Fernando Ybarra, and Mike Cassola.
Ms. Estella Esqueda has gone home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ to be in peace.
