Mental Health Services Update 

The Gulf Coast Center’s Galveston Island Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services previously located at the Shearn Moody Plaza building at 123 Rosenberg has been temporarily relocated to the Center’s Texas City Outpatient Clinic at 7510 FM 1765.  Galveston Island Gulf Coast Center registered consumers are encouraged to contact by phone or visit in person the Center’s Texas City service location.   Services available at this location include medication provision, counseling, case management, substance abuse and other service supports available to children, adolescents and adults.   

A Mobile Mental Health Unit located at the Community Center at 4700 Broadway is also available 9:00am – 4:00pm Monday through Sunday.  In addition, Gulf Coast Center continues to collaborate and partner with the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) and has welcomed UTMB residents and faculty physicians at several of the GCC outpatient facilities.  UTMB residents and faculty will have the opportunity to provide mental health treatment services to individuals in need at these temporary treatment sites.  For questions, please call 409-935-6083.
