Barbara Ann Bolden Smith

Barbara Ann Bolden Smith, 58, departed this life on Friday, October 10, 2008, at Clear Lake Regional Medical Center in Webster.
Barbara was born on August 20, 1950 in Galveston. She attended pubic school in Galveston and graduated with the last class of Central High in 1968. She was retired from UTMB Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Marjorie Zeno Bolden ; brother: James Fletcher Bolden and twin brother: Bobby Lee Bolden.
She leaves behind loving husband: Robert Charles Smith and her children: Robert (Anne) Ruffins; David (Veronique) Ruffins; Dion Ruffins; Delon (Scaboo) Washington, and Rachel (Matthew) Smith-McDaniel.
She also leaves behind 16 precious grandchildren; sisters: Shirley Graves; Rene Singleton, and Joann Byrdlon; brothers: Larry and Michael Bolden; devoted sister in law: Rochelle Miller; best friend: Betty Davis; numerous nieces, nephews and a abundant of other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will begin at 9 AM on Saturday October 18, 2008, followed by a service celebrating her life at 11:00 am. at the Avenue L Baptist Church (2612 Avenue L) with Rev. Kerry W. Tillmon officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donation be made to the Child Advocacy Center , 5710 Avenue S ½, Galveston, Texas 77551 (409) 741-6000.
