Darrell L. “Mother Goose” Arline
Carnes Brothers Funeral Home
Darrell L. “Mother Goose” Arline age 56 of Galveston was called home after fighting a battle that ended up in the Lord’s hands Tuesday, October 29, 2008 while at his residence in Galveston. Memorial Services will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at Bay Area Funeral Parlor with the Reverend Kenneth Foote officiating. Burial will be at Houston National Cemetery in Houston under the direction of Carnes Brothers Funeral Home.
Darrell was born in Galveston, Texas to Leroy Arline and June Marie Mills Arline. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving his country honorably in Vietnam.
Preceded in death by his, grandmother, and parents, survivors include sisters, Lorenza Murphy and Kimberly Murphy, brothers, Anthony Davis and wife Marilyn and Brian Murphy; grandfather, Sinclair “Daddy Man” Parish; nieces, nephews, devoted friends, Odis Harrison, Robert Simpson, Harrison Wilson and Nancy Woods.
“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.”
