Wanda Marie King, 38, fell asleep in the arms of her Heavenly Father, on Friday, October 31, 2008 at Memorial Herman Hospital in Houston.
“LuLu” as she was lovingly called by family and friends was a graduate of Hitchcock High School. Because of her love for helping the elderly and children she became a certified nurses assistant.
Wanda was preceded in death by her grandfather: Albert Collins; aunts: Mildred Collins, Judy Mae Wheeler, and Ollie Joyce Watkins; and also Anthony “Hank“ King
Wanda leaves to cherish the precious memories of her life husband: Sydney Simpson; son: Nathan D. Kinlaw, Jr.; daughters, Ai’Shay Simpson, Ieshai Simpson; parents: Nettie Jean Benson, Billy Joe Dennis, Sr.; stepfather: Calvin B. Benson, Sr.; brothers: Andre King; Calvin B. Benson, Jr., Billy Joe Dennis, Jr., Chris Dennis, Byron Dennis; sisters: Linda Benson; Cecilia Franklin, and Elizabeth Dennis; grandmother: Octavia Edward Charles; nephews: Tristan and Calvin Benson III; nieces: Trinity Benson, Darieal and Da J’anique Hart; special friend, Mary Graves, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation will begin at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 8, 2008, followed by a service celebrating her life at 1:00 PM at Galilee Baptist Church in Hitchcock, with Pastor S. D. Siverand, officiating. Burial will follow at Mainland Memorial Cemetery in Hitchcock.
