National Observance 2008 at Arlington National Cemetery

WHAT:  National Veterans Day Observance 2008 at Arlington National Cemetery 
WHEN:  Tuesday, Nov. 11 at 11 a.m.
WHERE: Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va. 

      • Ceremonies include a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknowns, followed by the observance program at Memorial Amphitheater. (Media must choose between the two locations.)
      • The National Veterans Day Observance will commence with a prelude concert by the U.S. Navy Band at 10:30 a.m. inside the amphitheater.
      • Both ceremonies are free and open to the public. No tickets are required to attend this event.
      • At 8 a.m., the cemetery gates open and a free shuttle service will transport cemetery guests from the Visitors Center to the amphitheater. 
      • Free parking is available at the Visitors Center parking lot until 1 p.m.
      • All media are required to report to the Media Center in the basement of the Visitors Center for credentialing.
      • The Media Center will be open from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m.
