Despite the threat of severe weather, Veterans Day was celebrated at Veterans Memorial Park in a ceremony sponsored by VFW Post 4820.

Park Chairman Jim White presided over the ceremony, which attracted a smaller than usual crowd due to Hurricane Ike. Listen: RealPlayer MP3
The program began with firing of the cannon, playing of the National Anthem, the Pledge of Allegiance, led by Herb Stafford, Post Commander and Invocation given by Chaplain Curtis Gaugh.
