Marshall Harris

Marshall HarrisMarshall Harris 63, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 9, 2008, at Mainland Medical Center in Texas City, TX.

Marshall was born into this world on April 12, 1945 in Huntsville, TX, to Nolan, Sr. and Cleo Brown Harris. Marshall attended school in Galveston where he graduated with Central High School C/O 1962. He served his country, first in the U S Army and was discharged as a Sergeant. He would also reenlist with the Navy, where he served during Vietnam and received the National Defense medal, two Bronze Stars and the Navy Achievement Medal for combat. After years of serving his country, Marshall worked as a landscaper until his retirement. 

Marshall leaves with a lasting impression of his life son: Morris Beverly of Bronx, NY; grandchildren, Morris Wayne, Jr., Aaron, Morris III and Janah Beverly; brother, Hosea Harris; sisters, Carrie Ward, Lula Reed, Barbara Crawford, and Oshie Roberts; special friend, Nelson Holloway, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will begin at 11:00 am Friday, November 14, 2008, at Greater Macedonia Baptist Church in Texas City (6414 FM 1765), followed by a service celebrating his life at 12 Noon with Reverend Travis Durst officiating.  Burial will be held on Monday November 17th at the Houston National Cemetery.
