TEXAS CITY
- Ruthie Mae Howard, 82, departed this life on Friday, November 28, 2008, at Gulf Health Care Center in Texas City.
A longtime resident of Galveston, she was a retired cook from the Galveston County Court House. She was preceded in death by her parents, 7 brother, and 4 sisters.
She leaves cherished memories with her children: Bobby Howard; Sharon Wells (William Wallace), and Christine Kiel (Lonnie); one brother; 16 grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 5th from 6-8 PM at Avenue L Baptist Church. A celebration of her life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 6th also at the church with Rev. Michael Dwyer officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery. Special thanks to Galveston County Daycare, Gulf Health Care Center in Texas City, Harbor Hospice and Felecia Close (Teddy).
